Borgen is a political drama about a prime minister's rise to power. We get to follow the power struggle in Denmark, as it unfolds around Denmark's first female Prime Minister Birgitte Nyborg Christensen, her clearheaded but disillusioned spin doctor Kasper Juul (Pilou Asbæk), and the ambitious and idealistic TV reporter Katrine Fønsmark (Birgitte Hjort Sørensen).
